Every new subscription must be confirmed by visiting a SubscribeURL first.

HookStead verifies the confirmation message and confirms it for you, so notifications start right away.

SNS signatures need certificate downloads and a strict string-to-sign.

HookStead checks them on arrival, fetching certificates only from AWS hosts, and can restrict a source to your topic ARNs.

SNS stops retrying after its delivery policy runs out.
